If you are suffering from depression, many times there is an underlying belief that you are not cared for. People do care, and God cares perfectly,  and the enemy wants you disconnected from love and destroyed. If he can get you to believe your situation is hopeless and you are helpless, research shows you probably will suffer suicidal ideation. Hold on for hope, reach out and make a call. There are many resources of people being saved from affliction as great as yours.

Evil is the “who” that wants us dead, drugged out, & kill, steal, and destroy.  Gen. 3

When God knew Adam and Eve disobeyed, He asked them to identify "WHO" told them they were naked! It was not HIS will or His best. There is a need for us to Identify that evil exists because one man sinned and brought it to us all, Just like Christ was the plan that was prophesized throughout the Old Testament to save us from our sin consequences.

“Who” wants the goodness of God He’s already put in you to be blown away. Sin lieth at the door, and unto thee shall be his desire(Genesis 4:7)   Sin wants our hearts and “who” was rejected, not you and me(Eph.1).  Sin is evil: sickness is evil: confess your faults one to another and pray for one another that you may be healed. James 5:14? Therefore submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you (James 4:7).  For that which I do- I allow not- but what I hate, that I do. Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwells in me (Romans 7:15, 17)   As the bird wandering, as the swallow flying, so the curse causeless shall not come( Proverbs 26:2).   For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, angels, principalities(demonic), powers, nor things present or to come, nor height, depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 8:38-39).   But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: when it is finished, bringeth forth separation.   Fight because passions are at war within. You desire and do not have, so you murder. You covet and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. James 4:1-2  Be diligent, Satan’s roaming and looking for whom he may devour.( IPeter5)

“Who’s” Character is closely related to his titles. His character is revealed throughout the Bible as being crafty (Gen.3:1; 2Cor. 11:3), slanderous (Josh. 22:16; Job 1:6), deceitful (Jer. 41:6; John 8:44; Rev. 12:9), Vicious (Luke 8:29), Murderous (John 8:44; 1 Pet. 5:8), Devious (2Cor. 11:14), mighty (Eph. 2:2), conceited (1 Tim. 3:6), cowardly (Jas. 4:7), malevolent (1Jn. 2:13). His titles include serpent (Gen. 3; Rev. 12), father of lies (Prov. 10:18; John 8:44), Beelzebub-prince of demons (Matt. 12:24), evil one (Matt. 13:19), Satan-adversary (Luke 10:18), Ruler of the world (John 14:30), God of this world (2 Cor. 4:4), Beliar/Belial-wicked one (2 Cor. 6:15), Abaddon-angel of the pit (Rev. 9:11), Apollyon-destroyer (Rev. 9:11), Accuser (Rev. 12:10).

Denial is not a river in Africa. And denying the existence of something certainly does not make is go away.

Power will not overcome fear in any form.  In fact, the only way to get past something we fear is through love.

There is a distinguished difference between the powers of Satan and influence over God’s people.  In Luke 22:3, he possessed them.  He commands them in John 8:44 and he blinds them in 2 Cor. 4:4 and misleads them in Rev. 20:7.

A different context is used concerning his influence over God’s people. He tempts them in 1 Chron. 21:1, distressed them (Job 2:7; luke 13:16, indicts them (Zech. 3:1), harasses them in Luke 22:31, and deceives them in 2 Cor. 11:3. This is good news when remembering God’s promised that He has already overcome the darkness and Satan loses.

In the meantime, the battle is limited for Satan and his domain as the ruler in the kingdom of darkness in this world alone. God sets boundaries on him (Job 1:9-12). Even better news is that Christians overcome him (Matt. 16:18; 1 Pet. 5:8; 1 Jn. 2:13). This is assuredly takes some work as we watch for him (2 Cor. 2:11), resist him (Jas. 4:7; 1 Pet. 5:9), and fight him (Eph. 6:11). We are told to put on our armor. Papa God has provided for all of us a breastplate of righteousness, sword of the word, buckle of truth, and a shield of faith.  Nowhere are we told to take it off. In fact, we’re told to guard our hearts above all things. How would that be possible if we are taking off our armor?

The kingdom of darkness is doomed to destruction (Jer. 52:2-3; Lam. 1:22, Ezek. 38:16; Dan. 4:3; Zech. 11:17; Matt. 12:28; 25:41; Mark 3:23-27; Luke 11:17-22; John 12:36; 16:11; Rom. 16:20; 1 Jn. 4:4; Rev. 11:15) with Satan as its prince (Eph. 2:2) and in oppostition to the Kingdom of Light (Eph. 1:21, Rev. 12-13). Sadly, unbelievers are citizens of it (Col. 1:13; Rev. 16:10) and even believers can aid in it (Isa. 48:1). It fits right in with the ways of the world and there is false worship (Deut. 32:17; Ps. 106:36; 1 Cor. 10:20). I wonder if that false worship could be of money, status or power?

Staying in the battle requires knowing the goals of the opposition. These are made clear in scripture. Satan’s goals are to tempt men to curse God’s name (Job 2:4; Jer. 34), keep men from faith in God (Matt. 13:19; Mark 4:15; Rev. 12:3), betray Christ (John 13:2, 27), and to receive worship (2 Thes. 2:3). This is done in many ways. Disguising himself (Isa. 44:20; 2 Cor. 2:11; 11:14), the father of lies (Gen. 3:1; Judg. 1:28) misuses scripture (Matt. 4:6) and even turns pain into suffering (Luke 13:16).

Satan was the first of many fallen angels working in opposition to God (Gen. 3:12, Ezek. 28:12; Luke 4:3; John 8:44; 2 Cor. 11:14; 1 Jn. 3:8) and uses these servant (Matt. 12:24-30) demons with evil nature like him (Luke 10:17) for the kingdom of darkness. These demons have power, albeit limited, they are still able to cause loss (Job2), destruction (Matt. 8:32) and trouble for believers and unbelievers (Matt. 5:16-18; 8:16, 28, 33; 12:22-28). They sow false doctrine (Deut. 13:3; Ezek. 11:2; 1 Tim. 4:1; 2 Pet. 2:13-14) and bring emotional suffering (1 Sam. 16:14)

ACCUSATION: Satan is the father of lies and the great accuser. He leaves you feeling the opposite of joy and peace because he separates us from love (God, self and others). We feel bad….. it’s him. Evil Spirit (Lucifer) is a disembodied being looking for a house to occupy…Legion- went into the swine and they ran down hill and died insanely, trying to swim.  Jesus vs. Devil in a child (Matt.17, Mark9)   Jesus, come or my child will die(John 4). Occultism/Sorcery/Divination/Witchcraft are all looking for answers and sources of power without turning to God: Zach/Ezek/Simon in Acts/Absalom waiting for David’s kingdom/.   GOD is CONVICTING; speaking to your spirit when still, praying, singing, reading your Bible, listening to other believers.  He’ll let you know if you’re doing something wrong in a gentle and leading way, not in a driving, pushy, anxious producing way.

How Addiction works: “Who” has lied to me so much that habit has formed and my body/mind/soul automatically falls back into pain, guilt, fear, self-pity, anger, becomes out of balance I feel at dis-ease… I feel pain, shame, guilt, and separation from love (God)-I don’t feel loved-I believe lies and agree rather than dispute or reject them-my body feels bad-a temptation comes from the enemy-I eat a bag of cookies-I sinned because I didn’t look to God and His truth and love-I feel shame, guilt and separation from God-I don’t feel loved-We must receive God’s Love in place of an addiction. His love is the power that can break the habits and allow us to live with love. Everything else will leave us wanting more. We have a God size hole that only He can fill……and unless we use God to fill it, only God knows what we’ll use. The foolishness of man perverteth his way: and his heart fretteth against the LORD. Proverbs 19:3 Beliefs can kill you like Acts 5 where Aninias and Saphira came fresh out of the law with its required punishment. They made a mistake, missed the mark, sinned, and their beliefs about what they had done in conjunction with what they believe should happen to them caused them to “give up the ghost” and they died.

Read the Bible in the first person for you. God is talking to you, make it personal and present tense. “I, Lisa Mitchell, can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”.  When God is doing things in the Bible, whatever is helpful to me, I think on these things. Because God is no respecter of persons, He has done it for me too. I don’t have to try and get healed. I have been healed and I am all that He says. I acknowledge the truth of what Jesus has already done on the cross and I have the reality in my heart. Froward, unrighteous, crooked has left me and I have attained the straight way for my heart that God has created in me.

Christian science denies the realilty of Christian sickness. God spoke and declared things to be when they weren’t, not the other way. He acknowledged good to bring it into fruition. He did not deny bad to bring in healing.

The words borne and carried refer to the scapegoat on the Day of Atonement bearing away the sins of the Israelites. According to Leviticus 16, on the Day of Atonement, the priest would offer two goats as a sin sacrifice. One goat was slain, and its blood was placed on the mercy seat on top of the Ark of the Covenant to atone for or cover the sins of the Israelites from God's view, as His presence hovered over the ark in the Holy of Holies.

The scapegoat was the second goat which was not killed, but was led into the wilderness. There the high priest laid his hands on the goat and symbolically confessed and transferred onto the goat all of the sins of the Israelites for that year. Then the goat was released into the wilderness to bear and carry the Israelites' sins to an uninhabited place, typically removing the sins to a place where they were never to be found again!  So, just as Jesus bore our sins, He likewise bore or carried our sicknesses for us so that we could be free from them.

Matthew 8:16-17 is a divine commentary on Isaiah 53:4. "When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: "He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses." I think that God must have known that religious people would seek to spiritualize Isaiah 53:4 and say that it refers only to our sins. But it's obvious in the light of the Hebrew words in Isaiah 53:4, and of the reference to healing the sick in Matthew 8:16-17, that God was showing us clearly that Jesus bore our sicknesses at the same time that he bore our sins! That same sacrifice takes care of both the sin and sickness problem!

Once you've established in your own heart that it's God's will to heal you, the next step is to put yourself in position to receive healing. Receive healing by exercising faith in God's Word.

Since faith begins where the will of God is known, once you know it's God will to heal you, it's then necessary to get yourself in position to receive the healing that's been provided. Since faith comes by hearing God's Word, the first step in receiving by faith is to get God's Word about healing firmly planted within you! The order in Jesus' ministry in the four gospels was  Please notice that in the four gospels, Jesus usually didn't minister healing until the seed of God's Word was planted through teaching.

The best way to plant the seed of the Word in you for healing is to find scriptures concerning God's will to heal you and meditate on them. Meditation in the Word builds the capacity for faith. The Word will build a knowing, a conviction within you, that God will heal.

Once that conviction is strong, it's time to act on the Word!

Act on the Word and go to Mark 11:23-24,36 and use these verses as a basis to initially exercise your faith. The important thing is to believe you receive. Once the command of faith has been spoken to the mountain of sickness, you must begin at that moment to believe you receive your healing. That is, you believe that you have already received the healing before there is any change whatsoever in the symptoms.

Faith must have corresponding actions to work as it should. If you believe that you receive, then do all you can to act as though you believe you receive. Talk like you believe you receive. If someone sees your symptoms and asks you how you're doing, tell them you're fine, and that you believe you receive your healing.

Remember, if you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes. Meditate in the Word, then release your faith by believing God has answered while the symptoms still rage, and then act your faith in practical ways. God honors His Word. He watches over it to perform it. It will not return void to Him. He longs to heal you, because healing is provided in your redemption in Christ!
