In the beginning, God asked Adam and Eve this  question.

This is about opening our eyes to who it is that causes our lives so much hell; the opposite of which we hope to attain here on earth. The focus is to bring awareness about how we allow Satan in ours and our childrens’ lives, and how God wants us to get free. The goal is to learn how to use God’s words for resolving the conflict within. As we love God because he has loved us first, we learn how to seek him first, as he commands. He commands us to love him first and seek him with all our heart, soul, and mind, because that is the way he has designed us. We are born with a God size hole that he calls us to let him fill. And until we learn how to let him fill it, only God knows what we’ll use to fill it up with. Only after we get a sense of what God’s love is toward us can we then follow the next commandment of loving others as ourselves.

Prioritizing is the foundation for organizing one’s life into a production of good fruit. Following the naturally set order of loving God first, then others "as" (like, at the same time) ourselves is the way to cultivating the peace, patience, understanding, longsuffering, kindness, meekness and humility. For no man live unto himself…we are the Lords’. God tells us to pray for His kingdom to come "on Earth as it is in heaven". The word "as" is used again to show us unity between two states.

We are going to take back our power and claim the victory that has already been won for us. All we need to do is submit to God’s control and make the decision to keep and take our peace. This is much easier when we continue looking to grow into today, knowing that all things work together for the good, for those who are in Christ. This sounds easy enough until we consider that the qualities necessary to obey are founded in meekness and humility. It is our ego that too often is allowed to train us into thinking that we can do it on our own. For those of us who have tried to follow Christ’s teachings the best we could for years, we easily recognize a distracter that insidiously plants individualized thoughts in our brains that doesn’t leave room to even think about asking about another’s opinion. I like to think of this as my masculine side…like asking for directions, but of course, the men will see it as a feminine characteristic…buying something we don’t need, just because it is on sale. As long as we can all laugh about it while we recognize that it is not God’s intention, I don’t think He cares what we call it.

This brings us to the main point. If it is not God’s intentions that we think our way through life without him, and the individualized thoughts come from us, and the thoughts that say our thoughts are all we need is from Satan, then how do we defend ourselves? Realizing that when Satan has his way, we will all be disconnected from our loved ones (God too of course), sick in the mind or diseased unto death, addicted to whatever, or on our way to doing our own selves or others in, it is urgent then that we free ourselves and our loved ones immediately.

How do I know? Because the picture you see on the cover of this book is a picture of one such person that Satan just about had done in. Using the analogy of climbing a great hill, as we get higher and higher and fall down or get stuck, the circumference gets smaller. We begin to run out of options of where to wander until we get it right and find upward mobility again. Fortunately, the infinite presence of God has continued to show me that He continues way beyond where we may think He ends. There is no top of His mountain. The other good news is looking back down the mountain now, I can see that with every fall I fell from a little higher place each time.

I admit this to you without fear of judgement; knowing there is no judgement for those in Christ, I know the credentials behind my name and the years spent overcoming all the labels, diagnosis, and criticism that were both real and imagined in science and medicine should've made me the last person in the world to be on board with God miraculously, methodically, naturally, and holistically healing the body, my body, of its diseases and disorders. (Thank You Father God for leading me with your Spirit all of these years...and finally helping me put it together to produce some fruit you say you give).

Years before my God camp experience (in Georgia at Pleasant Valley) I had followed Christ and worked to follow his word. However, I had very little fruit to show for it. I found myself at the end of my hope vascillating desperately between death and divorce, I cried out to God with a willing and uncertain heart, open to his miraculous ways and for the fruit he says is to be ours.

One of the first versus that helped me relieve my self-imposed guilt was “faith without works is dead” and “hope deferred maketh the heart sick”. These versus confirmed I was missing a major piece of something. I had only a weak hope in God to show me something that would bring my life to look something more like real fruit. I gave a week to God camp to try and find the missing information. This was the best gift I have ever given. The gift continues to give and I am certain in Gods’ power to continue his good work as he says.

The beautiful man who was “spiritual” was our marriage counselor who eventually told me that unless my husband changed his ways (and learned to show up), he didn’t know what I could do but divorce. This helped out a great deal as I reassessed my part in the pain and owning my expectations. This was very empowering. I could choose to stop the pain by not expecting. Simple enough; and we stopped having family meals. Or rather, we would sporadically have lunch together rather than supper. Less cooking for me is how I tried to look at it. I also reminded myself of all the other great things that we did have.

My husband and I through all of our resources together to attend Michael Smalley’s one day marriage intensive in Branson, MO.

Family Life, “A weekend to remember” preceeded God camp.

On one of our marriage-reviving trips to "A weekend to remember", Carl Clawson (2008 Pastor of Change Point in Alaska, the most productive Church in North America) said one of the finest quotes ever, "God has made each of us with a God-sized hole that only he can fill. And when we choose not to fill it up with him.....only God knows what we'll try and till it up with".

In my attempt to break free, I, like most everyone else I know, went to all the Doctors I could find. Eastern, Western, Psychiatrists, Naturopaths, Energy healers, Chiropractors with additional touches of Biofeedback, kinesiology, and one psycho-bio-kinesiologist or psychoneurofeedback...no pun intended.

Since then, I've lelarned that there is as much harm done with some of these practices as there are good to come from them. Here I am trying to feel better about life, and live peacefully with my wonderful husband (try to convince me of that at the time), and so I go for the latest antidepressant, only to find that one of my last redeeming qualities to him had been shut off...taken away. Now, my husband needed antidepressants too.

How many of you know someone suffering symptoms of depression who took one or more of the many possible combination of neurotransmitters trying to unlock the secret code fitting to each of us and end up weeks an dmonths, sometimes years later with little results, or worse, then there occasional suicidal thoughts turn into serious suicidal ideation. And then throuw in a few well-meaning folks who havve the belief that anyone who thinks such a thing is disconnected from God anyway...so ya better be really careful who you share your truth with. It may not set you free at all, in fact, it may set you up to be chastized, criticized, demonized, victimized, judged, chained and hell-bound.

This brings another point, when Jesus says the truth will set you free, we need to remember he is talking to us about the truth in His Word and the truth between us and Him. Leaning not on our own understanding, is ourselves or our fellow fleshly men and women. Not that we are not well intentioned, of course we are, but we are after all fleshly humans in the process of Glory to Glory. Casting our cares to him, bringing him our first fruits.

Example: I married my wonderful go-kart husband with the full knowledge that he waws a go-getter man. I was just under the wrong impression that he was a 9-5 go-getter man. So as the hours at worked increased year-by-year and his ability to make it home at night for supper when he said he would, turned my happy homemaking into a highly passionate fellowship of the rings. And with these rings that we did wed, we took the commitment part to the grave sriously. There were a few times I really believed the old stories of prioneer women on the fronteir using their skillets for more than a frying pan were to give me the backbone to stand and train the wonderful man i had signed up for. Helping him honor his commitments in the way I believed he was going to and the way I expected him too.

This is where the phrase "Who are we to expect anyone to do anything " really began to come in handy. Just as I was beginning to rely on my friendly pan, I heard this phrase and took on my self-righteous belief system out for a field day. I wrestled with the part of me that was right.....I had a right to expect the man to come home for dinner when he said he'd come. I had a right to be angry with him for being late, having other things come up, or just plain forgetting about me. This anger I finally found to be turning into a rage that occasionally came out, but more often, I kept in so that it could destroy me. Unknowingly of course, for we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12

Buckminster Fuller said God is a verb.

The Goodness fo God leads us to repentance, forgiveness, and to Him. We don’t repent so that God will give us his goodness. Mary Magdalene, a woman caught in harlotry, was at the well and Jesus did not condemn her or judge her. In fact, what he said, “Now that you know my goodness, love.etc. go and sin no more”. Only after she knew the power of His love did she have the power to go and sin no more. Psalm 40: If you could caount all my good thought about you, they would outnumber the stars in the sky”. God’s will is for us to get in line with what he believes about us. Then his power of love can come through us to change from the inside out. Jesus in the boat tells them they’ve got to be free from fear and have peace before the storm would cease. The storm had to obey him when he had peace inside himself even with the storm. To have rest even with the storms coming. Because the peace of God is within us and if God is for us who could be against us? In the name of Jesus, it is already in us.

Religion argues and Love acts; God is a verb. Religion is mentioned in the Bible only to define its meaning: To care for the fatherless and widows (physical and spiritual). When I was the sickest and wasting away, I realized that no matter how badly I wanted to be a priority or the priority to my husband, he was not my source. He was doing the best that he could with what he had, but showing up when he said he was, or when I really needed him to, was not going to happen. I was a spiritual widow too. There was some real need in my life that God managed to slip in some love and help me begin to recover. Apparently, my weight had been discussed at church. My husbands’ boss and his wife soon gave me a big box of chocolate for Christmas. This was not just any chocolate….it was the best kind of chocolate I had ever had. Sooo rich and good, I forced myself to accept the love as I nibbled it away piece by piece. I decided to live, although I still was not sure how to. Accepting that my perfect provision from God was never going to be perfect was one thing. Finding a way not to drown from the pain of his weaknesses stepping on top of my scars was another. My weight continued to go up as I had renewed hope and searched for a way to live and find peace. Now it is time I could lose a pound or two again.

There is no pain on earth that heaven cannot heal. Gods’ love acts to heal all with faith. Faith never knows where it is being led, but it knows and loves the one who is leading. Oswald Chambers

You can miss your family and friends good-bye and put miles between you, but at the same time you carry them with you in your heart, your mind, your stomach, because you don’t just live in a world but a world lives in you. Frederick Buechner, Telling the truth

God is infinite….gives all love and is all and will be all to all.

Struggling with: Selfishness… teach generosity, Anger… teach self-control, Revenge… forgiveness, and Jealousy… contentment. This sounds like common sense until you find yourself battling one or more of these demons. Then it becomes most apparent we need help. Good news……God loves to be called on, talked to, asked for help. He delights in righteousness and helping us get there. Tell the other power to get out and go back to his dry and aired place...mission canceled. Ask God to come in and cover you with his peace and protection and renewed mind. Trust that he is going to help you take your place and peace.

“When I was a child I spoke like a child. Now let us put off our childlike ways and grow up in Christ.” We need to be reminded until we are responsible enough to do it on our own. Get your sticky pads out guys. Write down what it is you need to reprogram and keep it handy. Keep it simple for our human minds. Pick out a couple of versus that help you remember your peace along with a reminder to tell Satan to get out and God to forgive you for listening to Satan. We know God is faithful to forgive those who ask without condemnation or guilt. When Satan comes back to be “the great accuser of our brothers” tell him to get out with his lies!

Phil 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, just, pure, lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praide, think on these things. Those things, which ye have learned and received, heard and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
